Another such adaptation is that the male seahorse has a pouch on its abdomen in which to carry young – as many as 2 000 at a time. A male seahorse pregnancy lasts from 10 to 25 days depending on the species. The male and female seahorses do daily mating dances, intertwining their tails and swimming together.
