The results оf the test identified аn аbnоrmаlly small substantia nigra, cоnsistent with Parkinson’s disease. The doctor explained that this resulted in insufficient dopamine production which kept Kevin’s brain from preventing abnormal movement.   Dopamine is an inhibitory neurotransmitter. At a cellular level, hypothesize how dopamine would act on the neurons of the brain. In other words, what chemical(s) would it move in or out of the neurons and what effect would this have on the resting potential?
