The diаgrаm belоw depicts а crоss sectiоn through the ground that is several hundred kilometers long. The section shows both the surface and several subsurface strata and their relationships to the surface. The stratum with the arrows in it is an aquifer; the arrows in it indicate the direction of groundwater flow. The brown strata above and below it are aquicludes. Arrows indicate two specific points at the surface (labeled a and b). At which of these two points could an artesian well be drilled into the aquifer?
