A cоmmоn belief аmоng members of society is thаt plаying sports or doing any type of team activity is "good" because of the ways in which it helps people develop physical and social skills. Yet, social scientists regularly find that some people are less likely to play or are more likely to quit sports or team activities than others. Girls, for example, are more likely to stop playing sports by the time they are teenagers; kids from poor families are less likely to join or continue to participate in sports or other team activities than kids from wealthier families; etc... These patterns have and can change over time, but these are what we currently observe.Develop a hypothesis that you feel explains these or other differences in participation.
