History and Examination findings: History: patient lived in an assistive living environment prior to admission. She has been a widow for 3 years. She ambulated independently with a single point cane prior to admission. She was independent in all ADL’s and IADL’s except driving and she typically ate 1-2 meals in the dining room. She has no history of dementia Since surgery she is alert and oriented to person only and has been combative with staff.
