Note, incidentally, the location of igitur, which means "therefore". This is a very common conjunction; in the vocabulary for this chapter, the note "postpositive" is provided. This means that igitur will rarely appear at the beginning of the sentence, and most commonly after the first word or phrase: as here, where it appears after in umbrā.
