Mrs. Vоn Schnicklefritz wаs pulled оver by Officer Dinglehоpper. Officer Dinglehopper believed thаt the driver wаs swerving between lanes and driving erratically. When he approached the vehicle, Officer Dinglehopper looked through the windows of the vehicle and he saw what appeared to be a bag of white pills on the floor of the passenger side of the vehicle.  Officer Dinglehopper immediately opened the passenger side door and picked up the bag of pills. There were over 100 pills in the bag. Officer Dinglehopper, proceeded to arrest Mrs. Von Schnicklefritz and charged her with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Prior to the trial, it was revealed that the drugs were prescribed to Mrs. Von Schnicklefritz and she was only carrying them that way because she was leaving on vacation the following day and did not want to carry all those pill bottles. Mrs. Von Schnicklefritz was extremely inconvenienced and offended by the police officers actions and is considering following a civil rights lawsuit claiming that the search vehicle violated her rights under the 4th Amendment. What is the likely outcome of such a lawsuit.
