No Unauthorized Help or Materials No forbidden tools: You cannot use phones, cheat sheets, solution manuals, old class materials, or unauthorized calculators during tests or assignments. Do your own heavy lifting: You cannot rely on tutors, friends, or classmates to do so much of the work that it no longer reflects your own actual abilities. No test leaking: You cannot buy, sell, find, or possess test materials before the exam is given. 3. No Cheating or Helping Others Cheat No stand-ins: You cannot take a test for someone else, and you cannot let someone else take a test for you. No unauthorized sharing: You cannot help another student cheat by sharing your answers, texting them, or taking pictures of exam materials. 4. No Faking Records No fake hours: You cannot lie about the hours you completed for an internship, field experience, or clinical activity. No grade tampering: You cannot try to unfairly influence or change your grade or academic record. You cannot ask for a higher grade than the one you have earned because you need it for a scholarship. It is not fair to all the other students. The Consequences Violating these rules has severe consequences. Depending on the offense, penalties include: A zero on the assignment. Failing the course (an E on your transcript). Failing the course specifically for academic dishonesty (an XE on your transcript). Loss of registration privileges, suspension, or permanent dismissal from ASU.
