A patient with fever/chills may believe anything from "its just allergies" to "I think I have Ebola".   A patient comes in in with fever, headache, and a rash. Believing it's meningitis they wants the strongest antibiotics possible today. Address the following:  Why can't we know yet that it is meningitis for sure? Does it matter whether the cause is bacterial or viral? What would you say to him,  including potential next steps,  without brushing off his concern? There is no one correct answer!
