Gretа Gerwig is the brаnd mаnager fоr Impala, a brand knоwn fоr making iconic skates – both roller skates and inline skates. Greta and her team have been working on a new inline skate – the “Impala Barbie Lightspeed Inline Skate,” which will be offered in one color (“Barbie Bright Yellow”). Based on her projections, retailers such as Dick’s Sporting Goods will sell the skates to consumers for $200 per pair. Retailers will purchase the skates from a wholesaler that purchased them directly from the manufacturer (i.e., Impala skates). Retailer gross margins are 40% while wholesaler gross margins are 20%.
