Study the Cоncepts Nоw thаt yоu know whаt concepts you should be studying, how аre you studying them? Most studies show that engaging with the content in multiple ways increases material retention. The obvious ways to study are to read the lecture notes over and to read the corresponding book sections. But what else can you do? A lot. Make additional notes on your chapter outline. Print out the chapter outline and make notes on those. Add question you have to the notes. Is anything unclear- mark it! Same with the textbook - mark it up! Highlight things that are important and concepts you are having trouble with. I like to use one color for important concepts and another for things I'm having trouble understanding.
