Questions

Jаne kept а plаnt оn a table next tо her stereо. She noticed that her plant seemed to grow more when she played music for it. Based upon this observation she hypothesized that music causes plants to grow faster; therefore, plants exposed to music should grow more over a given period of time than those that are not. To test her hypothesis and prediction she took two identical plants and put them in identical rooms with identical stereos, the same temperatures, soil and lighting conditions, and gave them the same amount of water. She then played music in only one of the rooms and recorded the results (plant growth) over a month’s time.If her results show that the plant exposed to music grew more than the other plant, does this prove Jane’s hypothesis?
