Art’s emplоyer, а lаrge finаncial services cоmpany, sent him an e-mail infоrming him that his job as an analyst was being eliminated due to the company’s implementation of an artificial intelligence program. The e-mail informed him that “your skills no longer satisfy the basic requirements of your job. You are obsolete.” The message was clearly the product of AI After a day of emotional turmoil and tears, he decided to turn his rage into action. He knew that the CEO of the company was scheduled to speak at a Political Action Committee dinner that evening. So, Art conceived a plan to make the CEO permanently obsolete. First, he retrieved his semi-automatic pistol from his garage. Secondly, he went to a local Army surplus store and purchased a black ski mask. And finally, he decided it would be prudent to rent a vehicle to avoid being seen in his own car. Two hours later Art drove the rental car to the hotel where the CEO was about to speak. Art then parked the vehicle in a parking lot a block away from the speech venue. Upon arriving at the hotel Art encountered his supervisor who queried “what are you doing here Art?” Realizing that he no longer would be able to avoid detection, Art pointed his gun at his supervisor from underneath his suit jacket and informed him that he would shoot him if he didn’t walk towards a nearby bathroom. The supervisor complied. When they entered the bathroom Art struck the supervisor’s head with the gun, knocking him unconscious. Art then rushed to the ballroom where the CEO had just started speaking. After covering his face with the ski mask, Art approached the CEO from a side door and opened fire with his pistol, killing him immediately. Art then made a mad dash out of the hotel. However, before Art was able to reach his car he was apprehended by the police.
