Although Pam is afraid of Dave, she doesn’t want any harm to come to the puppy. So, she takes the puppy and puts it in her own backyard until Dave gets home. Before Pam realizes that Dave is returning home, Dave hears his puppy barking from Pam’s yard. Dave is furious, opens the gate to Pam’s backyard, and retrieves his dog. The next day, Pam is checking the mail when Dave sees her, quietly comes up behind her, and hits her on the back of the head with a shovel.
