One of the other tenants told Pete that he had seen Dave enter his office earlier and leave with a package of paper. Pete went to Dave’s office and asked Dave if he had taken his paper and damaged his trophy. Dave denied the accusation and an argument ensued. During the argument, Dave struck Pete in the face with his closed fist. Pete was rendered unconscious by the blow. Dave then dragged the unconscious Pete out of his office and down the hall to a janitor’s closet. Dave put Pete in the janitor’s closet and closed the door. When Pete regained consciousness, his face hurt terribly and he became frightened, being in the dark closet and not knowing where he was. Pete began to shake and vomited. However, Pete then found the door handle to the door and was able to open the door and exit the janitor’s closet. Pete has come to you for advice. After titling a potential lawsuit, discuss in chronological order each intentional tort cause of action available to Pete against Dave. Headnote each cause of action and provide its definition.
