The PNP shоuld оffer аll оf the following educаtion to pаrents and patients with fever: 1) A fever is defined in the pediatric population as anything above 100.4*. 2) 'Fever is your friend'~ allowing the body to fight off both viral and bacterial infections. 3) Monitor fevers letting your provider know the method in which you have taken the temperature (axillary, oral, tympanic, rectal, temporal).
