The purpоse оf this "quiz" оr аssignment is to give you а "test run" аt a timed writing assignment before the Final Essay #2 attempt. The preliminary assignment must follow the detailed instructions provided by the instructor. Points will be deducted for the use of unauthorized materials (including preliminary assignments that do not follow instructions); students could also earn a zero for the use of unauthorized materials. Students must use Honorlock; no additional resources should be accessed whether print or digital.  Please remember the works cited page does not have to be included on this assignment; however, you should have already submitted an accurate works cited with the preliminary assignment. Please remember proper in-text citations should be included in the timed essay though. You should incorporate a MINIMUM of THREE sources within your essay; Dr. Nix provided you with five, so use three of those. Essay Prompt: Think about how strong financial advice can lead to financial success, whether you are a college graduate or just beginning to live life on your own. Using ideas from research articles, write a process essay on how to gain or re-gain control over financial independence. Explain three steps to overcoming difficulties and becoming a financially stable and secure individual. Make sure you have reviewed all of the relevant, resources, videos, etc. before completing this assignment. Remember your response should be FIVE paragraphs; each paragraph should be the following lengths: introduction paragraph (minimum of four sentences), body paragraphs (minimum of six sentences), and conclusion paragraph (minimum of four sentences). Please remember to color-code your body paragraphs according to the following guidelines: topic sentence with step (brown); quote from article, including intro element (red), quote (black), and in-text citation with author's last name (highlight yellow; if no author, use article title); "in other words" section (green); so what/therefore with example (blue); and closing sentence (orange). The introduction and conclusion paragraphs do not have to be color-coded; however, remember the guidance provided while completing Essay #1. Your introduction paragraph should begin with a hook statement, provide relevant background information on the topic discussed, and end with a thesis statement. Your conclusion paragraph should begin with a reworded thesis, provide a summary of the sub-topics, and end with a clincher. Please remember conclusion paragraphs should NOT introduce new ideas and NOT begin with "In conclusion."
