Scientific Inquiry: reаd the fоllоwing hypоtheticаl scenаrio - then answer the questions below.   In a hypothetical situation, you notice that some of your houseplants look much bigger and healthier than others. You wonder if it has anything to do with the plants being next to the stereo speakers and get a good dose your dad's favorite classical music each day while the other plants get no exposure to music. You decide to investigate further and test the following:  “Daily exposure to classical music will result in bigger/healthier plants as compared to plants that do not have the same musical exposure"  You start with 50 plants of the same species, all grown to the same initial size, under the same conditions (sunlight, water, soil etc.).  You randomly assign the plants to two different groups. (25 plants in each group)  “Group A” gets 2 hours of exposure to classical music each day.  "Group B" get 2 hours of  exposure to "white noise/normal household sounds" each day.  At the end of the test, the plants from both groups are measure and compared to their initial size.  After proper data analysis you deduce that the data does not support your hypothesis. Use the terms in the chart below to answer the following questions for the above hypothetical situation. Dependent Variable Experimental Group Observations  Control Group Independent Variable Standardized Variables Placebo Hypothesis Conclusion For each of the statements below: Copy and paste from the list above (or type the word or term exactly as you see it in the word bank as this will be auto-graded and spelling counts)  a. The test group (group of plants) that gets 2 hours of daily exposure to classical music is the  [Experimental] b. “Daily exposure to classical music will result in bigger and healthier plants as compared to plants that do not have the same musical exposure"   This statement is called a(an)  [Hypothesis] c. All test specimens are the same species of plant, all grown under the same conditions, all with 2 hours of exposure to some type of auditory sound. These factors in the experiment are called the [Standardized] d. The results of the experiment: measuring the plant size at the end of the experiment is the  [Dependent] e. You deduce that "the data does not support your hypothesis". This is called the   [Conclusion] f. "Classical music" the test treatment that is given to one group is known as the   [Independent]
