Twо inventоrs, Fаrаz аnd Sergei, оn opposite sides of the country both invent a scan-a-tron machine that records the intended answer of the test taker. Faraz creates the machine first and then spends three months looking for a patent attorney to help him with filing. The search takes a while because the attorneys all would charge too much for Faraz’s budget. While Faraz searches for an attorney, Sergei invents the machine and, since he is a patent attorney, immediately files a patent application. Faraz then hears about Sergei’s invention, quickly gets a patent attorney, and sues Sergei for patent infringement. Who will most likely win?
