She used to work as a TV weather girl in San Antonio, so when the TV station asks her to do a mock weather report in front of the camera, she is able to look at the camera with a smiling face, speak about weather fluently with sunshine in her voice, and point backwards at the map accurately. Although, due to unforeseen reasons, Mandy fails to get this position at the time, this is still a meaningful and exciting experience for her, and it’s markedly different from her life a few months ago when she was constantly looking after her baby all by herself, having little to no time to herself. At that time, she couldn’t help feeling really sad, having thoughts like “my daughter hates me; what difference does it make if I’m there or not?” and would feel very fatigued even after a long rest.
