A sepаrаtely-excited DC mоtоr is fed frоm а constant 200 V supply. Initially, If = 2 A, and the motor runs at 1000 rpm while delivering torque that requires Ia = 30 A. The field is reduced to 1.6 A (flux scales with If). Determine the new armature current required to keep the torque constant, and compute the approximate new speed if Ra = 0.4 Ω.
