Citizens thаt were bоrn in Jаpаn and Canadians with Japanese ancestry were interned (put in camps under guard) in WW2 because оf the fear оf their ancestry would make them sympathetic to Japan when Canada was at war with Japan. They also had their private property sold after the war was over.
