InstructiоnsExаm 1 is 30 questiоns аnd prоblems covering chаpters 13, 14, 21, 22, 23, and 24.  For the multiple choice questions, select the best answer for each question. For the problems, give your answer in the units requested. Enter only the number portion of your answer. Include the correct sign. Do not include units. Use scientific notation when directed.A formula sheet is available for students to use during the exam.  It is located above the first question in the exam and can be accessed as often as needed (click the down arrow next to "Formula Sheet for Exam 3).Students will have access to an online scientific calculator during the exam.  Students may not have any electronic devices during the exam.  Actions and behaviors that will be flagged as violations of exam rules during a recorded exam are as follows: • Improper ID: Not showing an ID, showing an improper ID, or showing a blurry ID will be considered to be a violation of these exam rules.• Talking aloud: Talking or whispering aloud during the exam is not permitted.• Being out of camera view: Your face, chin to forehead, needs to be in the camera view at all times.• Anyone entering your testing area: You may not have anyone else in your testing location with you. You may not communicate anything to any other person in any way.• Anyone talking to you while you’re in your testing area: Additional noises, including other people talking to you, while you’re in your exam are not allowed.• Looking off-screen: Looking anywhere not on the screen or on the allowed materials.• Utilizing materials that are not allowed: Cell phones or other electronic devices are not permitted. Only scratch paper, a pencil or pen, a handheld calculator, and the provided formula sheet are allowed.• Taking pictures or screenshots of the exam: Taking pictures while in your exam, including screenshots, is not permitted.• Copying and pasting any elements of the exam: In most cases, the system will not allow you to copyand paste any content from your exam. Regardless of whether you can or cannot perform this function, the Guardian Browser will capture all events of copy and paste that occur. These will be flagged as exam rules violations. • Utilizing a virtual machine: Virtual machines can be detected through the pre-exam system check, and are not permitted.• Utilizing a secondary monitor: You are only allowed to use one screen or monitor attached to one computer during your exam. If any of the above behaviors are flagged during the exam, the instructor will set aside the exam score and a grade of zero will be recorded for the exam.
